So I decided to do the tandem read by following this guide and veryyyy carefully bookmarking each page on my kindle where the guide switches books. Very proud of myself for not giving in to the temptation to move my hands from the screen covering all the spoilers lmao. This whole entire series I have been sensing on the breeze some bisexuality (Aelin is bi I literally don't care, sorry that's my headcannon like I just feel it in my soul and my bones that she is like I actually live in the world where she said in the book with her own words that she actually DOES swing both ways like she actually told me you guys trust me) and every damn time I have been wrong LMAO?? In Assassin's Blade I was convinced something gay was going to happen between her and Yrene to the point of confidently saying so to a friend of mine who had already read the series SO!! Finally I win and finally I have a bisexual character (I'm not completely sure about Lysandra's sexuality though bc of her past idk if that was purely business or what not BUT ANYWAY SO MAYBE 2). Aedion has that bixesual boy swag so happy to say it guys we did it we made it. Anyway, also I was talking mad shit about how ohhh I'm so tired of enemies to lovers blah blah why can't they just like each other how about two people who like each other a lot to lovers how about? BUT OKAY BUT!!!! I WAS eating up Elide and Lorcan OKAY SUE ME!! I do still kinda stand by my whole thing like my next romance/romantasy read I want it to just be yearning yearning yearning. Anyway basically if you haven't read this series and you're still reading this review let me explain how it ended okay? So Aelin is basically like Satoru Gojo and she's really strong like her magi-... Her cursed technique is really powerful and right now she's like in her prison realm era, and everyone is rallying together to not only fight the valg - sorry the cursed spirits - but also to save her......... Sorry LMAO. Anyway the blood oath thing has been worried has me thinking like OKAY SO they're both gonna die in Kindgom of Ash then?? Like they're going to war and what are the chances they both would come out alive???? Yrene Towers the woamn that you are... Nesryn Faliq the woman that you are... Also if you read my Throne of Glass review you may have seen my fav charcter was Chaol....... Well as you can imagine that CHANGED LOOOL and I was a Chaol HATER but I'm glad to say.. I am back on team Chaol! Still not my fav bc there are just so many good characters but I am not longer his #1 Hater!! But I love Yrene, love Nesryn, love Manon, love Elide, just love all around tbh. I can't believe the valg was in DUVA!!! She's freakin PREGNANT!!!!! I really thought that would have lasted longer tho like hell yeah Yrene but I'm SHOCKED she's rlly fine and that the baby is okay. I'm almost wary of it in fact (well the baby not Duva) but I guess Yrene just really is That Bitch!! Kind of worried I'm losing steam for kingdom of ash though so like miss Maas better really pull out the big guns here. No more huge big series for me for a while I think it's hard to rlly stay into it when I have other things I wanna read (and I can't read more than one at a time just won't happen). Anyways all in all, pretty good and the experience was reading two books at once was really cool and kept it not feeling too long, I feel like if I had read both seperately I would have lost steam even though they were good and I enjoyed them. Sad but excited to finished this series tho. Looking forward to starting something new!! hehe :)
